The moment:
On Saturday, May 17th, Nigel Phillips, our Director of Operations from Midrex UK, laced up for his annual trek for charity — this time tackling 35 miles of the Vanguard Way.
The route:
From the seaside cliffs of Newhaven through scenic English villages like Alfriston, Blackboys, and Buxted, Nigel and friend Nolan walked from 7am to nearly 8pm — 70,000 steps in total.
Why it matters:
Their journey wasn’t just physical. It was purposeful — raising funds for two critical causes:
- Motor Neurone Disease Association (Lou Gehrig’s disease)
- The Samaritans, supporting mental health and emotional well-being
Bigger picture:
This walk is part of Midrex Gives Back, our global commitment to service.
